Sir,I am working as senior lecturer in Department of Economics,Government College Ajmer.
I am eagerly waiting for the vacancies of teaching posts in other disciplines too and for offering my services to the university as best as I can.I visited the website of the university and your blog also.I am happy that there will be no communication gap and we all will be able to share our views and thoughts .
I congratulate you profusely for evolving a modular and all encompassing Vision Document for Central University of Rajasthan. The document is the testimony of the quantum of academic exercise and thought process that you and your esteemed office underwent in order to bring it in the present format. It is certainly in tune with the broad polity framework of expansion of higher education while ensuring quality and uniqueness of the courses for CUoR. Proper weighatge has been assigned to the strength of the region and programmes have been accordingly evolved to harness and further enhance these. The document also ensures preservation and in turn further enhancement of the rich cultural and moral traditions and values with which the great State of Rajasthan is endowed with. International Centre for Desert Studies and Centre for Rajasthan History are the excellent ideas. The document also provides enough scope for character and national building.
As one of your most ardent admirers and well wishers, and by implication of the CUoR, I, with all humility at my command, would like to offer a few suggestions for incorporation in the document:
1. School of Performing Arts may be named School of Fine and Performing Arts as Rajasthan is very rich in fine arts also.
2. A certificate/diploma/graduate course on Border Trade may be provided for in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
3. Bioinformatics and Earth System Science as the thrust areas may not fit very well under the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Computational Sciences unless the purpose is provide for certificate/diploma/graduate courses on Computational Science and Bioinformatics/ Earth System Science. Alternatively, these may be shifted to the School of Life Sciences and School of Earth Sciences, respectively.
4. While implementing the vision of this magnitude, the person of your caliber will certainly evolve strategy and vision to develop the much required huge infrastructure beside vision for sustainability of the academic programmes.
5. The Schools and the academic programmes therein need to be ideally classified into three to four phases for smooth implementation.
Kindly excuse me for my ignorance, if above suggestions do not fit well in the overall scheme of the Vision.
I most sincerely pray for your good health and I am confident that CUoR will receive the type of capable leadership from you required for becoming a world class university.
