I would like to invite attention of all those who have contributed on this blog towards a recent paper published. My experiences of getting the feel of stakeholders for the policy formulation of the Central University of Rajasthan are placed in a paper “Democratizing the Higher Education Policy Formulation by Exploring the Use of Blog”. The above mentioned paper appeared in the University News Vol. 47, No. 40, October 05-11, 2009.
Although I mentioned a gist of comments, I couldn’t name the contributors due to constraint of space. I take this oppourtinity to thank all those who have responded to my posts. Let’s keep the blog alive by sharing our notions pertaining to Higher Education in general and regarding Central University of Rajasthan in specific.
With warm regards
Dr. M.M. Salunkhe
Vice Chancellor,
Central University of Rajasthan
Dear Prof. Salunkhe,
I am an IT specialist. I am feeling great when I went through your paper. IT is being used for so many things susch as healthcare, govrnance, but so far I didn’t come across such an experimental work for getting the feedback of stakeholders.
Your blog looks great. I also went though the Central University of Rajasthan website. But the Central University website requires lot of modifications especially the colour combination, the arrangement of information etc. It looks dumb.
Your online applications even for recruitment is well placed. Looks like the Central University is fortunate enough to get a VC like you.

Dear Vice Chancellor,
I came across a similar blog by the Vice Chancellor of James Cook University, Australia. Have a look at http://jcuvicechancellor.blogspot.com/
But in India this is a completely new phenomenon.
Keep it going.

Hon’ble Sir,
An aptly programmed, meticulously designed and well thought of text. I am confident that, your vision and tireless efforts would surely leave a trail for all of us to follow.
I am sorry for not being able to visit here and write earlier as I remained abroad most of the time during past two months and then I am due to organize a national workshop at Jaipur next month.
Warm personal regards.
Sincerely,
BK
Dear Professor,
Your blog has come to stand still. No post since many months. What happened to the promise of sharing your university working with the people? or is it just the initial enthusiam?

Dear Hon’ble Vice Chancellor,
I am extremely glad to see the blog of an academician like you & how informative it is. During 2008, while doing my Fellowship in London, U.k., I have produced my Report on Fellowship in the form of a blog (online report) from wordpress, and I had sent it to our V.C as well, but he could not understand then, what was a blog and asked me what was it!! Sir, hats off to you..
I have seen the online application form for first time of any university, congratulations Sir.
